Welcome! My name is Solomiya, and I am a copyeditor with a background in pharmaceutical project management and public health (epidemiology, specifically). Like so many, my love for reading started at an early age, and together with a love for detail-oriented work, has guided me to where I am today.My goal as a copyeditor is to be your partner and to help you get your words across in a way that keeps your voice preserved. I copyedit fiction, romance, fantasy, and all types of nonfiction works. I have a certificate in copyediting from the University of California, San Diego, and I work primarily within The Chicago Manual of Style and the AMA Manual of Style style guides.
Beyond the Pen
When I’m not deep in a manuscript, you can usually find me reading, working on a cross-stitch (another exercise in patience and precision!), trying new matcha, or exploring the outdoors.
My Process
I give two passes to all pieces that I copyedit. The first is a slow, thorough pass to catch most issues, while the second pass is quicker to make sure any stragglers are taken care of. Once I have finished editing, you will receive an edited copy with tracked changes and a clean copy for easy reading, as well as a style sheet that tracks all style decisions made for your work.

I work primarily within the Chicago Manual of Style (CMOS) and the AMA Manual of Style, though I am happy to adapt to your preferred style guide as needed.Rates are dependent on the level of copyediting needed per project.
General Fiction & Nonfiction
Best for indie authors, memoirists, and content creators.Focuses on grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage. Content is also checked for clarity and logic, and will be queried or revised as needed per project.Rate: Starting at $0.025 per word.
Business, Marketing, and Corporate Communications
Best for corporate clients, agencies, and small businesses needing polished marketing copy, whitepapers, or reports.Focuses on grammar, spelling, punctuation, and usage. Content is checked for clarity and logic, and will be queried or revised as needed per project. Tables, figures, and references will be checked for consistency.Rate: Starting at $0.035 per word.
Proofreading
Best for authors and clients whose work has already been edited but need one last set of eyes before publication.Focuses on checks for invisible errors like double spaces, typos that spell-check missed, and formatting hiccups.Rate: Starting at $0.015 per word.
